Did what it was meant to do but pool was closed
Got into room, took shoes off. Instantly soaked in a pool of water from the ac unit. Room reeked of mold. Called front desk from the room phone, asked for another room. Went in new room. AC doesn't work AT ALL. Tried to call front desk. Room phone doesn't work. Said hell with it, I need a shower. Glass slider in shower wouldn't stay closed, rolls all the way open repeatedly, allowing water to splash out. Door to bathroom has to be forced to slide open or closed. My wife and I drove three hours from Muskegon to Detroit to attend a concert, and unfortunately our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m., when the fire alarm unexpectedly went off, waking the entire hotel. We were never given an explanation for what happened, nor was there any acknowledgment or attempt by the hotel to make up for the disruption. The room itself also fell short of expectations.
