Had a wonderful stay. The staff were so kind and accommodating. The family suite was a good size with perfect setup, but would book the lakeside walkout next time. Too much light coming in from the parking lot. Had to share this sweet note from house keeping- she should be recognized! We were coming back from a horrible experience at Cantina Jose (do not go there!) and Rocio made our evening.
Don't be fooled by "Lakefront" We were originally excited to stay here for a couple nights on a week long Up North road trip. Having more modern amenities and being on the water, at a not-too-unreasonable-for-the-summer price, was appealing. Unfortunately nothing can make up for a truly fatal flaw: all the balcony rooms facing the lake have blinding lights over the balconies that cannot be turned off that come on the second it gets dark. It's a new build, well designed with an amazing view of Lake Huron The location is close to both ferry companies servicing Mackinac Island Plenty of comfy seating to watch a sunset with a beer or wine from the bar It's a great family place. We're grandparents and didn't mind the children running in the halls at 10pm and the occasional lobby temper tantrum. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
