The hotel is nice, but we ran into some unacceptable issues. Housekeeping walked in on my wife and kids without knocking or apologizing. I have also been calling the hotel for a week about a tablet that was left there and nobody will call back or tell us if it was found or not. Even a call to say they don't have it would suffice. Unfortunate.
You CANNOT beat the location!! Right on the lake. You walk into the lobby and there are GIANT floor to ceiling windows looking out over the lake!! We got a balcony room on the 4th floor, where those pics were taken from. If you want to see a beautiful sunrise from your balcony look no further! We took a family road trip with our three girls (ages 3-7) to Mackinaw and around lake Michigan, and our big splurge for a hotel stay was here. By far the best stay of our trip. We had a suite with a king, pull out sofa bed, and a bunk bed, so it was a bit pricey but worth every penny and very clean. Indoor pool and outdoor hot tub were fun for all; the hot tub and fitness center overlook the lake for more breathtaking views.
