The room I booked clearly stated "Beachfront With Balcony," but upon check-in, the front desk claimed that their system didn't show that we having booked a beachfront room (we had paid extra for it). The staff not only failed to address the issue proactively but also kept shifting the blame to the third-party platform, telling us to handle it ourselves. This was my second stay at this Hampton in St Augustine. The staff was very kind and helpful. I was texted and asked to let them know whatever my concerns were during my stay. The location is terrific. Just a stroll out to the beach and watch those glorious Atlantic waves. The room was clean and well stocked with toiletries. Morning breakfast is pretty standard. The rooms are very clean. I feel horrible for the housekeeping staff. I'm pretty sure, just myself, i probably dragged in a few metric tons of sand from the beach. This place has to be a total beast to try and keep clean. Somehow they manage. The front desk staff is very friendly. Location is great. Right on the beach and close to a ton of good restaurants.
