This is now my go-to when I visit Salem. Has the feel of a 5-star hotel at a fraction of the price, and the free breakfast buffet is respectable. Heated indoor pool. A dozen restaurants within walking distance. There is a little street noise on occasion if you get a room close to Washington Street.
I have stayed at Hampton Inns for decades and I got to say, this was a massive disappointment. After I checked in (staff who checked me in was very polite and professional, but don’t remember his name). I went up to my room and found hair in the bathroom in multiple places and the bathroom counter clearly hadn’t been wiped at all from the last guest.
