The rooms were okay. The service was horrible they all had an attitude from the front desk to the people serving the free breakfast. They charge $75 for checking in one and a quarter hours early. They charged $100 deposit when we made the reservation for one night. The front desk people just had an attitude.

I stayed here over Labor Day weekend, and at 1:30 a.m. the fire alarm went off. When I got to the lobby, those who had actually left their rooms were just sitting there with the alarm blaring. I stepped outside because I could clearly smell something burning, and overheard another guest mention a burning chemical smell. The alarm was still sounding when they told us it was safe to return inside. Great value hotel adjacent to the highway and several fast food establishments and gas stations. Room was clean and hotel is in good condition. Parking was reasonably well lit at night.

I've probably stayed at this hotel five times when traveling up and down the east coast. It has always been great, until this last time. I got caught in a two-hour traffic jam above Richmond the night of August 17 (construction and pouring rain), so I did not arrive at the hotel until nearly1 am. After I finally got to the hotel, there were three people ahead of me to check in. Everyone was holding their bags of water, so I thought, I would save a minute and go ahead and get mine.
