I travel with my pup everywhere. I never care about any pup fee. But paying the 75 dollar fee this time meant I was downgraded to basically a human kennel. Under the guise of I will be closer to the dog walk area, I was placed on the first floor next to the back door. Not an issue, until I walked into the room. I stayed one night here and will never return. I was double charged, and when I called to explain it they gave me the run around for a week until they finally told me there was nothing they could do and hung up on me. Luckily I have all my receipts and will be able to dispute with the credit card company. The stay itself was also terrible. The person at the front desk didn't know how to check me in at first. Google reports this as a 4-star hotel. I'm not sure what that's supposed to be based on. It really doesn't seem to be any more special than 2-star hotels I've stayed at. One of the reasons I chose it was for the hot tub in the pool area. I was so disappointed to see that it was out of service. When I checked the reviews this morning I saw that people had already been complaining about this at least 5 months ago (!!!). I feel that they should at least take it out of their list of amenities. 1st night we arrived we realized our toilet did not flush. I attempted to take a shower and ended up taking a shower bath. Mind you this is at around 1am, we ended up switching rooms. The next room was fine. The front desk lady said she would refund us for the 1st night, however I did not receive a refund. The new room had a dirty sock under one of the beds. The only reason I am giving an overall 3 stars was due to the promised refund for the 1st day that I have not received and the dirty sock under the bed.
