If you're looking for a Hampton Inn in the area to stay at, I HIGHLY recommend this one over the one in Daytona Beach Shores. It's a night and day difference. For some context, me and some friends all came down to Daytona for 4 nights. We decided to do the first 2 nights at this New Smyrna Beach location, and then switch hotels to the Daytona Beach Shores location for the last 2 nights. This is an excellent property, especially for a Hampton inn. Most of the staff is very kind and friendly. Especially the two workers in the late afternoon/evening on Thursday 7/16. The rooms were a little tight, but were very clean and modern. Breakfast was great every morning, and the pool is beautiful. They did close the pool a little earlier than I would have liked. I am a Hilton Diamond member and have stayed at Hilton properties all over the country for many years. Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I have ever had at a Hilton hotel. Despite reserving and selecting a specific room type, we were not given the room we booked. The breakfast buffet was being cleared away at 9:15 a.m., leaving guests scrambling for food. Nicely remodeled hotel in a great location. Be prepared for a $25 parking fee that was not listed until walking into the lobby with a sign showing the $25 fee. Not a welcomed surprise.
