Initially when walking into our room it smelled like bleach and cigarette smoke. Not sure if every room has a handicap shower, but the only thing separating the floor between the shower and the toilet is a shower curtain.. which was an issue because the water was all over the bathroom floor which made me slip and fall. Not safe at all. We also received a parking violation even though we were parked legally in the hotel parking lot.. This place was so nice! The pool was great, the gym room was better than most hotels I've visited, and the breakfast was wonderful!! The bed wasn't the greatest but the pillows were spectacular. My room didn't have any weird smells, the shower was clean and was spacious. I'd definitely stay here again.

I’m extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled, particularly after we checked out. We arrived in Gulf Shores around 1 PM, about two hours before our scheduled 3 PM check-in. We decided to stop by the hotel to see if early check-in was possible. Our original room wasn’t ready, but the front desk was kind enough to move us to another room on the same floor that was available. We enjoyed our time here. Rooms were generally clean though the carpets need wet vacuumed more often and the building does need a bit of tlc. The mattress is older but we slept well and the pillows were great. The ac worked very well and plenty of hot water for a nice shower. The front desk was friendly and very helpful. Thanks for always having hot coffee available and a clean coffee station. The parking lot has recently been resurfaced and very nice. The outside was clean and plenty of parking. We'll stay here again.

What a great place to spend a night in Gulf Shores. My son and I were greeted by a wonderful young woman, Felicity, at checkin. Hilton can be proud of employees like Felicity. She made us feel warm and welcome. She made the difference in our stay. Thank you.
