Just outside of Charlotte proper, this hotel location is perfect for a quick trip into the city. It's close enough to the highway for a stop if you need a place to rest for the night, while far back enough that you do not hear the constant stream of cars down below. When coming in, I was greeted by a very friendly employee who made check-in a breeze. I did not catch his name, but he was a gentle giant who's warm energy made me know this hotel was a good choice. Great location, but we arrived to sketchy people in the parking lot. No big deal. I don’t want to judge. Once we got to our floor we were created by the smell of weed and several barking dogs. This is simply a Motel 6 with the Hilton brand over it. Very disappointed. We only survived because we had our noise machine and it was just a one night stay.

Average. Some rooms have been renovated and others are in bad need of renovation. Carpet from 30 years ago, moisture on the floor under the AC unit, tiles literally falling off the wall corners. The room I settled in had been renovated. So it had new carpet and LV floor in the bathroom. But housekeeping had knocked of globs of thick Grey dust clots from under the AC unit in my room and just left the clots on the floor. I told the front desk about it the next morning. There appeared to be two managers standing among the trio.... read more
