The good: Front desk concierge were friendly and polite. Very helpful. The bad: The water turned off in our room about 10:30am. No shower. No sink. No toilet. My wife was covered in soap from showering. Called the front desk and the manager hadn't even notified the front desk staff that "work was being done," and "we don't know how long it will be off!" Overall the Hampton was great. The breakfast was just not up to par for me. Maybe its different every morning. I wasn't pleased on Saturday morning. But we were in town for a wedding. Not sure about a return trip there.
Nona was so efficient from the moment I walked in the door. She was handling a phone call,helping a snack purchaser and myself all at the same time with grace. She followed up with me when we got to our room, with complimentary water and snacks that she provided and made sure there was hot water for tea when I returned to the lobby. The room was comfortable and quiet and parking was by my window and secure. The price is under some of the old falling apart motels on 301. So why not stay at a wonderful Hampton?
