I booked this hotel because my husband and I needed a place to sleep on a road trip. The hotel website states the hotel is under renovations from April 2025 - September 2025. I booked on sept 29th 2025 and the lobby is an absolute mess. The elevator sounds like it will fall at any moment, there’s a really bad moldy smell throughout the building. This is one of my favorite stops. I spent 150 nights in a Hilton property so far this year. The staff bends over backwards to an accommodate you. It's renovated nicely and extremely close to great food, convenience store, gas, Starbucks, shopping, dispensary...... Stay here it's pro level traveling!

I drive an 18 wheeler and hotel parking is at a premium. This hotel welcomes us. We stay there anytime we come to the St Louis area. Currently (9/8/25) there is renovation in progress. The rooms are completed and they are finishing up the hallways and lobby/breakfast areas. Workers don't start too early or work too late. The hotel is very quiet. Start by saying Drake was very nice and polite at checkin. But we were very disappointed in this Collinsville, IL Hampton Inn. Not a typical Hampton and definitely not a typical Hilton property. We were told all remodeling was finished except for lobby. Our room was very dark and had nothing on walls and no curtains. Only a shade that lets night lights in all night. Bed spread had blood on it, milk at breakfast was curdled,
