We stayed at the Channel Islands Harbor in Santa Barbara and overall had a decent experience. The location is beautiful, and our room fronted the marina, which offered a very soothing and peaceful view — definitely the highlight of our stay. However, a few things could have been better. The breakfast selection was a bit disappointing; when we came down at 6:30 AM, there was no fruit available, and we had to head out early for a game. My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn to be close to Ventura Harbor for our ferry trip to the Channel Islands the next day. All of the staff was pleasant, and we were very pleased with the variety of items served at their breakfast- it was nice to have free breakfast as this can be rare nowadays. The floors or walls seemed a bit thin as we could hear people walking around early in the mornings, but the air conditioner blocked a lot of the noise out. Nice, peaceful view of the marina. Overall, nice place to stay.
