We recently stayed at this Hampton Inn location because we were planning to visit Mammoth Cave National Park. I am very, very thorough in checking for cleanliness in a room and don't even bring up our luggage until I have checked everything out. This room was very clean! No signs of bed bugs, roaches, spiders and the corners of the room and bathroom were very clean as well. The towels were bright white and they gave us plenty of them. This was a perfect place to Stay to visit Mammoth Cave National Park. Room was clean and the breakfast was good. Only issue is my wife is a Gold member and was not greeted and recognized as a Gold member by the front desk.
After staying in Hampton Inns all over the country for decades and never having a single issue; our streak ended. What a huge disappointment. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would not stay here again. At check in they put us on the first floor which is the floor for pets. We love pets, we have pets, we did not travel with pets. The room smelled so bad of stinky, wet dog that our clothes smelled when we changed out of them 45 minutes later.
