Great hotel overall. Yes some of the rooms can use some updating but the price is great so I don’t mind. Beds and pillows are comfy. Room was clean. I stayed there a few times years ago and it was nice to see Luvy is still there taking care of the complimentary breakfast. She is so sweet!
Rooms are outdated and in need of a deep cleaning. Good luck with the AC ive had to change rooms multiple times on a few occasions before finally getting one that managed to pump out some cold air. Housekeeping is hit and miss. Check-in staff is definitely not the friendliness. I would love to be able to bypass the check-in process like all other Hilton properties. I really dislike having to deal with this lady every week. Unfortunately this is the only Hilton property in the area.
Was hoping to make it through to Whitecourt for the night only way home up North but fell hours short. Fort Sask was going to be the closest city before dark. If you know Alberta, the unlit highways at night are terrifying. I’m always a Hilton or BW person. I tried the BW here before and didn’t like it so we just called the Hilton. Bathtub needs some new caulking, but otherwise it’s all right. Definitely not the standard that you expect from a Hilton but compared to other options around it’s fine. It’s good enough front desk. Agent was relatively nice. For the price it’s better than Edmonton. Breakfast lady is incredibly nice. It’s not old and broken down like people are saying… quite clean. Just the bathroom could use some tlc and a topper on the darn bed lol
