UPDATE: Feb 23/2026 Complained to manager, hoping for an offer of a new night to make up for the disruption, NOPE, didn't even apologzie for the inconvenience. Was totally unhelpful and argumentative. Wish I had read the reviews prior to staying there, seems this is a common issue. Would NOT recommend this hotel. Stayed four nights and had a wonderful stay. The breakfast was great. Waffles, fruit, juice, eggs, French toast, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, etc. So much nicer than just a simple cold breakfast at a lot of places. The room, linen, lobby, and hallways were all clean. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. Renovations were being done as well, so things should only be getting better.
First night we had a loud knocking in our room that didn’t allow for my son and I to get any sleep. Spoke with the front desk staff and they only offered to move our room. No compensation offered at all. Then after checking out realized I had forgot something in my room to go back and check an hour later… room cleaned and they couldn’t find the cologne left behind. I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn by Hilton South location, booking two rooms for our group. While the staff was generally helpful, the physical condition of the rooms was far below what I expect from the Hilton brand. Room #1 Issues: Upon checking in, we found both bedside lamps had burnt-out bulbs. It made the room incredibly dark while we were trying to settle in.
