Check in was quick and the hotel seems clean so far. However the rules posted about the pool are a little insane. I can understand safety and not having parties etc. However I tried to buy a bottle of WATER from the front desk to take inside while watching my kids swim. I was told I couldn’t bring it in. I can understand not having alcohol and other liquid beverages like soda etc. But to not be able to get a bottle of water is insane. Very clean and friendly ppl.
The front desk people we extremely polite and helpful. They had a nice little snack shop with some options of wine and beer. I was very impressed with the kitchen staff who were very friendly, and were constantly walking around for the breakfast, making sure everything was stocked and fresh! I like they had two different flavors of waffles to make fresh, along with other hot food options, as well as the standard continental breakfast options (pasties, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, juice, fresh fruit). Very poor customer service. I checked in at around 5:30-6:00 pm. Power went out shortly after. I waited 20 minutes and then walked to the front desk. I asked what was going on. The manager replied that “ComEd will be here about 8-8:30. As I had been in my room about an hour—-had not even had a chance to open anything in the room—I asked for a refund.
