Horrible experience. My elderly father was trying to book 3 nights at the Hampton Inn Amesbury for an upcoming wedding. They refused to let him book it because he wanted to check in before 4 PM. (The family rehearsal dinner started at 4 PM). The booking agent would not accommodate him under any circumstances. Do better, Hampton Inn ... you just lost 3 nights of business because of a silly rule.
It's an 'Okay' hotel in a good location. Breakfast was decent and they even had gluten-free bread. The staff at breakfast work very hard. The bathroom was dated (the toilet was badly cracked) and could use an upgrade. Also, one of the electric points on the table lamp was not working and I found dust on many fixtures. Housekeeping can certainly be improved.
Hotel is nice and clean. But employees are not a hilton standard care as other hiltons I have been too are. Would suggest trying to be a bit more personable and kind. Definitely not how the women last night and gentleman this morning acted.
