Take it from a former orthopedic nurse, Dr. Hanmer is a really good orthopedic surgeon. I had a total hip replacement done four days ago, and it could not have gone better. I arrived at the surgical center at 8:30 a.m. and was out of there before 2:00 p.m. Yup, hard to believe. I know that everybody’s experience will be different, but I took nothing stronger than Tylenol for the first 24 hours post-op, and that was it.
