I am being evaluated by an oncologist for probably malignancy. She told me to have my primary, an internal medicine doctor, give me a referral to a surgeon for a biopsy. Both doctors saw and felt the obvious bony lump in my chest and agreed it should be biopsied.
Dr. Hamilton patronizingly told me he didn't want to do the biopsy because it would leave a scar. Given that my father died of Cancer of Unknown Primary and was paralyzed by bone metastases at exactly my age, it's not unreasonable to want to know what is causing the painful swelling in my ribs.
Dr. Hamilton was not able to offer an opinion on what might be causing this painful bony swelling, only that he didnt intend to find out. I have already filed a complaint against him with the state board of medicine and I suggest future malpractice victims do the same.
