Dr Farhat and his staff were responsive and helpful. I’m 54 years old and this was my first surgery. I was nervous, but Dr. Farhat was reassuring, and his record speaks for itself. He knew what was wrong and how to fix it in the least invasive way possible, without losing mobility in my neck—ending 16 months of near-constant nerve pain in my neck and right arm. His staff was very patient and understanding, friendly and compassionate.
Dr. Farhat saved my life. Through his skill, surgical procedure, follow up and caring, I have returned to living a normal life following an unexpected, unanticipated brain aneurysm. He was always available to my family during my lengthy hospitalization. His care was genuine and he is a gifted physician. He always made himself available and I can never thank him enough for his care. He is an angel.
I thought he was terrible. He wanted to put a shunt in my head for a pulled muscle in my face. I would not suggest him to anyone.
Continuation of my review, I had no follow up appointments after a c1 C2 Fusion. I was complaining of pain and issues, my issues were dismissed. I was told to follow up with my pcp. Also they said I can go see a neurologist. Finally after all the work comp nonsense I was approved to see a neurologist at Northwestern, which I was sent to see a neurosurgeon. Dr. Farhat is amazing, he saved my husband's life and that was no small task. We have two more upcoming surgeries and I know that my husband is in the best hands possible. Dr. Farhat is caring and professional and really makes sure you understand and answers any questions or concerns you may have. He treats his patients with great care and respect and we will forever be grateful to him and his staff for their compassion.
Brain tumor surgery 2014 and carotid stants2018 to myself and spine surgery to my husband 2018. We call him “family surgeon” He is the best neurosurgeon We Could ever have for our need. Also as a person he is wonderful and we respect him and love him very much, and if ever we will need a surgery we going to ask him first??
Dr. Farhat did a remarkable job. He saved my life. I am forever grateful. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends. He is a very skilled surgeon. He had great bedside manners. My mother loves him. My surgery was so effective that I no longer need to follow up with Dr. Farhat.
He is an angel on earth. One of the best and compassionate doctors I have ever met.
