I love going in to browse the latest radios and look up books antennas and more. The consignment sales were always nice too.
Well-stocked electronics store with almost anything an amateur radio operator could need. I was searching for an SMA to F-type connector. When I called first, the gentleman I spoke with said they did not have what I needed. Since I found that too hard to believe, (based on previous experiences at other HROs) I came in anyway and another gentleman found it! Worth checking it out if you are a Ham operator new to the San Diego area! Great, (mostly) patient staff will help to find what you need!
I've been an amateur radio operator for about six (6) months. I was drawn to HRO first perhaps because I liked their website colors. Pricing looked as good as possible, and so I ordered. Joe at the San Diego location helped me find a part that I couldn't even accurately describe when I first called! That's some service! I was happy to see common sense CoVid compliance when I went in to pick up the part, too.
LOVE THIS CANDYSHOP! Fantastic service, they take the time to help you and explain things. Play with the rigs and admire the beautiful antennas on the roof. Ample parking and super friendly team ready to answer any question. I bought my IC-7300 over the phone from them (I live in San Fran and the OAK store is closed), and the whole purchase was a great experience.
