Updated after 1 year: I have to move out because of noise. The wall is too thin especially with low wall design. A new neighbor moved in and do loud music and vacuuming 7 am in the morning while another have TV on after 12 pm. Cannot survive this noise with bad sleep while working 5 days a week in office. Update after move in for 5 months: the maintenance team did a great job to keep things working. Prompt response and even on call at late night. We had a great first experience living at Halstead Square two years ago, which is why we decided to move back—but unfortunately, this time has been a huge disappointment. The worst part is the noise. The neighbors above us fight, scream, slam doors, stomp around, and drop things loudly at all hours of the day and night. It wakes us up and keeps us up until 2am every day and then we get woken up at 6am every single day! It honestly sounds like an elephant is living above us. The Halstead Staff provided excellent service. Not only did I enjoy the tour, but I also appreciated the bubbly personality that made the environment welcoming.
Flagged issues regarding evidence of pests and lack of hygiene even prior to move in. Now still dealing with this issue two months later. Was also told a lie that turnover cleanings between tenants were conducted thoroughly, but there are pictured evidences of dead bugs littered throughout the apartment. Management is at least responsive, which is bare minimum at any location that touts itself as luxury living. They are also very good at being concerned and apologetic.
