I got the vibe the owner does not know what he is doing . He charges $48.00 an hour and he wanted me to pay another mechanic to come by and help him do the repair. if you like to argue, Endless debating over the phone and be price gouged then this is the place. I had to go elsewhere.

I wish I could give a negative review. Completely disrespectful and useless. I already knew the part I needed and asked if he could order it which quickly went downhill when I told him I found cheaper elsewhere (everywhere else to be exact) He told he to think about it and to call him before Wed. when he places his orders. This old guy operates a "business" from the garage in his house and portrays himself as more affordable than the "other guys". Last week I took my snowblower to this guy to replace a snapped belt. I brought a new belt that I happened to have and showed it to him. He tried to imply it might not fit, but conceded after a few minutes. Any way, the next day he called saying it was fixed. I had this person give me an estimate for cleaning my lawn mowers carberator. He gave me a price of approximately 50 dollars and agreed to come and pick it up and return it. When he came back he had a jacked up bill and wanted to charge me 92 dollars. When I complained about this price he became very nasty and loud. I would not recommend this person to anyone. I feel he took advantage of me and did not disclose all fees and basically ripped me off. Shame on you Halls Small Engine Repair, beware of this business.
