I've eaten here a few times with some friends. They have the best crab cakes I've ever had. If you like crab cakes, you have to try them here. They are expensive, just like everything else on the menu but they are delicious.Their lobster mac and cheese is good. I'm sure if I liked steak prepared the old American way, I would like it here. My husband and I went to Halls Chophouse for dinner to celebrate or 38th wedding Anniversay. This was by far the very best dinning experience we have every had. The service as well as the food was outstanding. I highly recommend this establishment!

Pretentious, rude management – I heartily agree with the faux-attentiveness of particularly the red haired Hall son. On a recent visit, after the initial handshake greeting and several subsequent pats on my shoulder exuding pretentious graciousness, I offered him a comment on a service issue. He proceeded to tell me that my comments were unjustified. A Cut Above.... – There is only one word that could describe our recent dining experience at Halls Chophouse – perfect! In an era where great service and unbelievable food seems hard to find, at Halls Chophouse it is plentiful. I must admit that I’m not a big red meat eater. I understand what the above reviewer is saying about too much Hall attention; I've heard that from other locals as well. But I personally love being greeted and even being personally thanked by phone the next day. You don't get that kind of service often. As for the food, it's simply the best steak in town. Get the Filet or one of the aged cuts and order it med rare and you will be in heaven. All the sides are awesome and they have a great wine selection. Worst Meal I've Ever Had – My girlfriend and I recently moved to Charleston. We have tried many of the restaurants and have found most to be quite enjoyable. This was not one of those places. From the minute we walked in we were somothered by one Hall family member after the next. I felt like I was in somekind of nightmare family reunion.
