Hall Associates has been one of the most unprofessional property management companies I've dealt with. The staff often don't seem to know their jobs, customer service is terrible, and getting clear answers or updates is almost impossible. The property had damaged doors, a refrigerator in terrible condition, and even a tree that fell in the backyard. Maintenance was slow, and many issues were left unresolved. I live in Pittsburgh, PA and has an appointment to look at a property. I was an hour away when they called and told me the person that was to show me the property had to cancel all their appointments for the rest of the day. I could understand that and that sometimes things happen. What I couldn't understand is that knowing the distance I had driven was that someone from the office couldn't have taken an hour to meet me at the property. The reception team is incredibly friendly and are quick to make you feel valued as a customer and I’m sure that’s why they have any repeat business at all. However the properties and other personnel under their employ leave much to be desired. I had a poor experience after moving out of an apartment that is handled by Hall Associates. I am writing this review to warn future tenants of some deceptive practices that they employ in regards to our security deposits. When I first moved in I was told my security deposit is $725 which is equal to 1 months rent. There was no mention that $200 of that is a "non-refundable security deposit".
