RecommendedI highly recommend Dr. Hopkins and the Halifax Vet Service to everyone. My dog wasn’t a patient and they went above and beyond to help us get her vaccinations before we went on vacation. I called every place on the South Shore and they were the only one kind enough to help. I will absolutely be making him our permanent vet!
My dog injured himself this morning and I called to ask for advice. The woman on the phone (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) was wonderful! She was kind and very informed, spoke to one of the doctors and got an immediate appointment for us. I called at 9:00, he was already in the office being treated at 9:45. Dr. Hopkins treated my dog, he was very caring and spoke with my husband upon arrival so that we were well informed and comfortable with the treatment plan. I have always had a great time experience at HVS and during this time of crisis they are still providing the best care to the community’s pets. I had to take my dog there and the staff came to the car and took the dog inside and the vet was out to the car with what they were going to do for him and gave me his medication all without having to go inside and they bring him back out. I absolutely highly recommend them I take my dog Cash and my cat Honey there and they are wonderful!!!
I have always had a positive experience here but today exceeded expectations. With the whole virus going around they worked as a team with a great strategy to keep everyone safe and distant all while providing top quality care to my dog. My dog Scooby had to get looked at as he injured his toe. They took great care of him and even carried him out to my car and made sure he was comfortable. The staff did a great job!
We take all of our pets to the vest at HVS. Because we have so many geriatric cats, we're there quite often, and they always take really good care of them, and we can always get appointments quickly when we need them. I hope they're in Halifax as long as I am, so I never have to bring my pets anywhere else.
I love the great care my dogs receive!
