We are grateful to be blessed with the opportunity of been assisted by a wonderful, dedicated and supportive medical team. From the hospital care to the hospice staff, they carry us with sensitivity during my Mom transition until the moment She pass away. We can say enough for all the hard working RNs, LPNs, Doctors and the team that keep such a peaceful and beautiful environment. Always grateful for your caring, support and service. I wasn't going to bother with this but the more I think about it the more upset I get. My family member wasn't even there 24 hours before passing. I've been through hospice before unfortunately but the way this was handled is outrageous. I have to live with the memory of the things the nurses did and said during those last moments. I can’t thank this hospice team enough for the compassionate and dignified care they provided to my uncle in his final days. When my mom was in the hospital and the doctor mentioned Hospice, I looked up "Hospice" on google and called the first one (not Halifax). I didn't pay attention to the Hospice choices I had. Weeks later, when I was talking with a friend whose mom was also under Hospice care with in the area, we compared Hospice experiences. She was with Halifax and was getting much better care.
