Despite living in Oakville for many years, I had not eaten at Halibut House until last week. The atmosphere is better than a fast food restaurant, but not quite a finer dining experience. We got delivery from the Oakville location. for the price of the meal, I would definitely have expected more. Not a fresh piece of halibut at all, overcooked, the fries were soggy. All in all very disappointed, and will never order again. The order was delivered in a reasonable amount of time but that was the best part of it.
Super good Fish and Chips - we had the haddock and fries. Customer service was really nice, he talked to us for a bit. Definitely recommend :)
Great place and great food
Nice clean, fairly new restaurant in the Trafalgar Rd and Dundas area. Near Walmart. We went for a later lunch and had the daily Monday special of haddock, chips and coleslaw. Our waiter was friendly and promptly took our orders. The good came promptly and was fresh from the fryer - just how we like it. Tartar sauce, ketchup and 2 types of vinegar were brought out as well. The meal was delicious, perfectly cooked and plentiful. We walked away stuffed and happy.
