Been to this place a lot But lately when l went the food was very greasy and worse of all it was cold They used to be the best around Not sure what happened to them
I felt guilt tripped into tipping 15% for takeout.
French fries over cooked and small inedible fried to a crisp. Breaded clams are overcooked and tasteless. We threw away our food. Gone downhill since it first opened.
Halibut House on Appleby is my "go to" for fish and chips. I have eaten fish and chips in most of the Burlington restaurants, and this is by far the very best! The food is excellent, and it is obvious it is carefully prepared. The server really cares that my dining experience is the best!!!
We have eaten in and ordered takeout and have never had a bad meal. For those who complain about price, check out Halibut in any restaurant and it will always come with a higher price tag, and often the pieces are extremely thin…..but not here. The fish is always thick and fresh tasting. We won’t order Halibut from anywhere else. We have even order
