I was referred to Haldimand War Memorial Hospital in June 2026 from my family doctor in Hamilton. I needed surgery on a herniated belly button aka umbilical hernia. I can wholeheartedly attest to the experience from start to end, being exceptionally efficient and very good. My surgery was booked to take place 6 weeks later by Dr. Howatt. Took my 65 yr old husband for a shoulder he could not move after other issues the previous week with his hands. He was in excruciating pain. The nurse took all the info about swollen hands etc the previous few days along with severe coughing. The so called "doctor" DR. STAVROS or Stravos came in the room. Years ago my husband was waiting for 45 mins with a number for a A1C blood test when a man walked in said I'm here for blood test and they seated him right away my husband spoke up I was supposed to be next I've been waiting my turn they told him to go back to the waiting room and wait another 5 mins there was no appointments back then just by number and wait your turn unorganized.
