Best Vintage in Richmond! Hands down the best vintage in Richmond. Must people haven't heard of Halycon just because the shop's tucked away in a little corner on Robinson and typically gets little press in comparison to other stores with prime locations in Carytown. The owner carries GREAT quality vintage at fairly reasonable prices. She's friendly, inviting, and really knows her stuff. Take a pass on Bygones and head to Halycon.
Bad business practices regarding layaway ..scam!
I have traveled to Richmond from Alaska for my dying mother who is at Retreat Hospital. I have been in Richmond four days with no sleep. The security department at the hospital pointed across the street to an alley way and told me to go smoke there. This happens to be beside this business. I was approached and tapped by what I can only assume is the owner of this business who stated what she had to say and didnt have the common respect to listen to what I had to say she just kept walking. Wonderful, wonderful and wonderful. I live in NJ and did my shopping via email. Looking at Bakelite bracelets, I wound up with a gorgeous silk shawl - serendipity and magic. Personal service was so personal, I felt like I knew Didi - and I still feel that way. Brilliant place. I'll be back!
