I've tried twice... Maybe I have to be a hippie to get good service??? – Ok.. I eat and drink everywhere downtown... but I've tried this place twice and both times the servers / cashiers were rude to me and my girlfriend. I give up. I like the fact it's not a Starbucks, but the servers need to act like they like their jobs!!

Poor Customer service – While I agree with others that the ambience was good here, I and several others have received rude and disrespectful service at this establishment. I was surprised to see so many positive reviews. Maybe we just happened to be waited on by the wrong employee, but I do not plan on returning to this establishment again.

Great Happy Hour (11am-7pm?), creative coffee cocktails, board games, super toasted sandwiches – Turkey and Brie Pannini is absolutely fantastic! Great place to visit with friends or read by yourself; 'background' music is actually that. They have chess, checkers and other board games, as well as plenty of local periodicals available at one's leisure. Over all, I found Halcyon to be a chill place to pass the time.

Comfy Chairs – My first visit to this place was delightful. The selection of seating is wonderful and highly comfortable. I was a little put off by the smell of smoke coming from the smoker's lounge but the atmosphere otherwise was so funky and charming that it didn't really matter. The tea was pretty good, I've had better and I've had worse. NIce people hanging around too.

Finally! – Great space! The difference from RM is outstanding! Great staff, best bartender in town, a variety of different foods and dont forget about the SMores! They go great with the coffee or a signature Chocolate Espresso Martini, and folks, if you have never had one of those, you really must!

Fun Hip Place – Heard a lot of people suggesting this place and so we went ... drinks were great, the environment was lively, vibrant, but not too crowded. The smores kick butt - it was a nice twist and something different for our night out.

Great Place to Relax – This establishment has amazingly balanced and catered to a variety of downtown crowds. Having coffees, teas, food, a full bar and a tobacco shop has made it truly unique. The staff is awesome- since I'm now a regular,I have come to learn that most of them have college degrees and are great conversationalists. They always recommend new things to try, but chances are I just get my usual- and they even have it ready for me before I even order! Good ambiance, good food! – The ambiance is awesome, great setting, board games, coffee, tobacco shop... what more can you ask for. The chairs and sofa make it feel very comfortable and relaxing. Customers keep to themselves and aren't loud. The staff might appear to be cold, but just give them a smile and they might smile back. Great place for a "get to know each other" first date!

good w/friends – I keep on coming back for the yummy smores and the board-game playing environment, but I would love it better if the service was not so snooty-acting. Lose the attitude, people!
