I was so excited to try this place and I was disappointed! The food did not look appetizing. I ordered a plate for my kids and they couldn’t eat it because the rice had too much pepper in it. I also ordered a cheesesteak with everything but onions and I got one full of onions. I live 15 min away so I didn’t want to drive back.

Drove over here from Plano last night to give it a try... wanted something different than our usual, The Gyro Shop in Plano. Definitely sticking to our norm after last night's experience and definitely never returning to Halal Bites. Arrived at 10:15pm (they're open until 11:00pm). Kid working at the register said the internet was down so unless we had cash, he couldn't help us. We asked if there was an ATM nearby and he said there's a Capital One down the road. Turns out, there's a bank and an ATM literally less than 100 ya... read more

The best middle eastern rice bowl in Texas. The staff are friendly, the food is amazing and the Arabian nights/Aladin theme is an awesome combination. The combination rice bowl had just the right amount of white and red sauce. The meat was juicy, tender and well seasoned. I am definitely coming back.

Had the beef and lamp over rice its not too bad but not the best, the fries and drink was TOO expensive. When i commented to the owner how expensive their fries and drink is he said its Halal Zabiha lol. He was very rude. Dont think i will go again.

I ordered the original NY rice bowl with a combination of meats (chicken, lamb and beef). The moment I took my first bite, I was hooked. The meats were properly marinated and not dry. The sauces, this is a big deal. You can't just drench the platter with sauce because you want to actually taste the meat, rice and vegetables. They had just the right amount of sauce. If you wanted to add more sauce, it was on the side. It was their first opening and they did great!

We had the opportunity to try out their pizza since we had been hearing great stuff about it. But we've had much better pizza than the one we had ordered. the crust was not cooked all the way and somewhat raw in the middle. The pizza sauce tasted weird. I've had much better chicken tikka pizza than theirs. Also felt the owner was rude. Wasn't impressed and don't see any reason to go back.

Can't believe I drove 15 miles to try chicken curry khow suey but it was SO worth it! I'd been craving this for a few weeks and finally got to try it. Perfect chatpat and a portion large enough for round 2 tomorrow.
