I took my teen daughter to see Monica after months of searching for someone who is talented with naturally curly thick hair. Monica is easy to talk to, she listens to the client, she is always professional, and genuinely cultivates an atmosphere of peace and relaxation for each customer. My daughter left her shop confidence and glowing.
I was driving thru Wexford flats one day and saw Monica's little sign regarding curly hair cuts. I called and was able to get an appointment quickly. Nice, low key, clean calm salon. Finally found a stylist who truly listens & gave great results. Monica found curls I didn't know I had! Monica is a joy to converse with and I'm glad she's here!

I am a guy in my mid 20’s, who had hair 6” past my shoulders, flat on top, lifeless, just hung straight & was hot. Wore it in a pony everyday under a hat. Monica at Hair Zen is my favorite hairstylist of all time. As someone with wavy/curly hair, finding a good hairstylist can be quite the adventure. When I first met Monica, I was immediately put at ease. She was so welcoming and professional. She took the time to ask me all the important wavy/curly hair questions.
