We are a full service pet salon located in Valparaiso. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service skills and a well rounded knowledge of all things DOGS :) We have early opening hours for your convenience and your pets will be ready to head home during your lunch hour. We are NOT a cage free shop for your pets safety but do understand that cages can be stressful for some pets so we strive to get them back to you as quickly as possible. RecommendedI have used Hair of the Dog since they opened. They treat each dog as if they were their own. My dogs are happy to go there and always come home beautiful. They groomed one of my dogs from a pup until he passed. The last couple of years it wasn’t easy to do him but they did a wonderful job! I highly recommend Robin and Ruby!!

My dogs don't get groomed anywhere else! The groomers know them by name and they always look great ❤️ I love the early drop-off and consistent pickup time - I know my dogs aren't crated for unnecessary amounts of time.

Hair of the Dog is the best. They always take such good care of my babies. Got home from work today and Remigton and Butch were so pretty and clean after their bath. Thanks Robin and Ruby for all you do!!!
Can’t say enough about how great these Groomers are - unfortunately for them - all the dogs I bring them are TOUGH jobs - fortunately for me they keep letting us come back with open arms 💗
outside of making the furbabies look and smell ah-mazing...they love them and appreciate their personalities as well!
