Extremely Disappointing and concerning experience regarding a firearm transfer Today, June 28th, 2025, I visited Hafer's Gun Shop in Hagerstown, MD, with a former coworker to complete a firearm transfer. This transfer was arranged after a firearm, previously confiscated from my coworker, was released by law enforcement to Hafer's following the dismissal of a legal case. Kelly and the team are most excellent with info, guidance, and much more. The selection is tremendous, and well worth just a visit if nothing else.
Don't take anything to them for gun smith work. Over priced, not knowledgeable and definitely were shady when dealing with me. A trigger job that wasn't noticeable, firing pin replacement and removing a bur from the hammer was 420 dollars. Not to mention it took 4 trips to get this accomplished. Would give zero stars if it were an option.
One of the best two gun stores in the tri-state area they are honest and informed and they're just amazing
