STAY AWAY BEWARE.... Horrible Experience! Bought a washer/dryer set - washer did not work from day one! Trading Post sent repair men twice - washer STILL never worked. Third repair man (on 4th day) told me i needed a console control for $378 AND $100 service charge!!!! Bought this washer/dryer set for my business but was told AFTER installation that there was no warranty on these items!!!! Impressed again! I've been impressed yet again by the people at Hackettstown Trading Post! I've purchased appliances here in the past and been very satisfied, but I just decided to update my living room furniture and came back based on my previously pleasant experiences. Very Disappointing Very disappointed! My elderly parents purchased an washer and dryer from HTP. They immediately contacted the store after receiving delivery they contacted the store and told HTP they were unhappy. HTP took the appliance back and charged them a restocking fee. My parents then purchased another poor quality washer. This machine is a substandard piece of medal. It's unfortunate HTP doesn't value their local customers. stuck with a bad recliner bought a Berkline recliner here,really didn't want a berkline but let salesgirl convince me it is a very good company(my error).After a few months most of the chair had small white threads coming through the cloth material,they sent some one out ,he had never seen this before and wound up REPLACING the chair (I picked a different maierial this time). Great Experience I never write reviews, but I had such a POSITIVE experience at The Hackettstown Trading Post that I wanted to share it with others. Firstly, let me say that they are proffessional and educated sales people. I quickly found that they belong to the Biggest buying Group in the country for Appliances and if they don't have it in the Showroom they can pretty much get anything next Day! I'll Take Big Box Stores Anyday! STAY AWAY!!! I purchased a GE Dishwasher on Black Friday (Nov. 26, 2010) which was delivered on Tues, Nov. 30, 2010. Being that my husband is a plumber he would handle the install. That night he came home from work to try & install the unit but the dishwasher wouldn't level, no matter what he did to the feet the door wouldn't close w/out applying force. BIG Service Trouble on 2 Appliances Purchased at Hackettstown Trading Post So far -- after 5 weeks cannot get resolution. Refrigerator leaks and has now done damage to floor underneath. Trying for 5 weeks to get fixed. We paid for extended Warranty which seems to do nothing - Beware. Is a VERY sad situation. Oven door has not ever closed all the way. Trading Post disaster Mostly appliances. Not sure which was worse - the poor selection or the flippant salespeople. Overall waste of time.
