I enjoy the atmosphere, and food was pretty good. But to spend so much money at such a fine facility, you'd think they might give you a complimentary birthday treat of some sort. Only to be told, "sorry no we dont.. but you could buy a full cake.." :/
My first time there and I loved it. The food was excellent, the atmosphere of the place, the story of the building and the staff. We had a table by the window and watched some boats coming and going. I had the baked whitefish allmondine. Stuffed mushroom caps for an appetizer. Just wonderful. Our waiter, Eric, was friendly and accommodating, If you should go, and you should, be sure to ask for him.
The buffalo tenderloin is a wonderful chunk of meat, and the maple peanut butter sundae is irresistible. The building and location make me feel like a part of history.
The first time we fell in love with the "hack"was back in the early 70s ,the food was exceptional ,the drinks were the same way ,,the service to rave about ,the ambiance of the place is equal to none ,and now 2016 it's every thing now that it was then even better ,the only difference now ,,,we go by boat which is awesome ,,,thanks hack- ma -tack ,,we love you
Had an incredible meal with great friends on an awesome boat trip.
Great food, friendy service, lovely decor, great view, plenty of wildlife, just one of my most favorite places to visit.
