My husband and I are Habitat Home Owners . My husband recently had a surgery which led to a stroke and being paralyzed on his Lt side. Habitat for Humanity has been there for us and helped us out so much. We will always be so grateful. Habitat is Family and they make you feel that way...
I’ve only had good experiences here. For those that didn’t feel the store meets your expectations, you should sign up to volunteer and make a difference. After all, everyone there is a volunteer.
Prices have went up but unpredictable
I've been to several Habitat restores. In fact I've done an entire bathroom with just those items. I don't know who runs the one in Chambersburg but they are way proud of there stuff. I've seen things priced higher than I can get in the store. It is just this store. They need to check themselves. They are outpricing their selves. I even brought it to a managers attention when I showed him that the lights he had where higher than Lowes. He just said he googles it. Well this stuff isn't new!
They came to pick up our hutch no questions were ask the week prior of donating . They got here we have to take a hard pass because obviously there has been some sort of smoking around it so it permeated the wood. Well yes obviously it was in a kitchen for 40 years and yes there was probably smoking at sometime but you should probably inform people of this before you commit . I have always gotten furniture from there but I’ll take a hard pass from now on
