Dr. Ilyas is a friendly, skilled, and amazing surgeon. I have lived with severe back pain for nearly 30 years, and when the pain spread to my legs, requiring the use of a scooter, surgery was the only option to get me back to enjoying life. Having had a couple of spinal fusions already, I didn't offer him an easy surgery. The surgery was twice as long as he had told me, given the difficulty of replacing the 2 disc's and fusing the L3-L5 as well as fusing that to the already fused L3-T11.
