I believe I speak for many patients when I say we seek a doctor who acts as a partner. We want someone who collaborates on decisions, not an authoritarian figure dictating our care. Trust and respect must go both ways. I profoundly pissed off with the pre- and post -procedure care provided by Dr. H. Matthew Cohn and colleagues. Another doctor with complete disregard for his patients, who are also adults with schedules and jobs of their own. Drove 30 minutes for a 1:30 pm appointment, to be told at 1:55 pm Dr Cohn was running 30 minutes late. Was then told we can reschedule when I wasn’t able to wait an hour for an appointment, meaning another day to take off for an appointment. This basic lack of respect toward other people shows the true competency of a doctor in the medical field.
