I was recommended to Dr Wisnicki based on three decades of a double vision diagnosis which was being treated (not that successfully) by prisms. Literally 10 minutes into his examination, Dr Wisnicki told me I had been misdiagnosed and that he could cure what I had with a surgical procedure. He is a man of his word. The surgery was out patient, brief and only slightly uncomfortable for the first day post-op. And now my double vision is gone. No more prisms, no more watching TV with one eye closed. Dr. Wisnicki took my insurance, has many years in practice and gave me assurance of a no big deal strabismus surgery. He never discussed risks and only told me what I wanted to hear. Instead, I am left with an operation that permanently damaged my eyes and in a worse state than before he performed surgery. I do not care how many degrees or certificates he has. Adult strabismus nightmare! If you need a doctor with an over-inflated ego and the hands of a kindergartener rather than an esteemed surgeon, Dr. Jay Wisnicki is your man! Botched eye surgery which has resulted in distortion of vision, esthetics, and chronic pain.
