I was driving from Toronto to Calgary and about 500 km before reaching Thunder Bay my windshield washer fluid suddenly stopped working. It was freezing outside and the ice kept building up on my windshield, making it really hard to see. I had to keep pulling over, getting out of the car, and cleaning the windshield by hand just to keep going. Terribly slow, only one or two knowledgable & experienced mechanics in the shop who know their way around a vehicle. Will take 2 months (not joking) to work on your car, tell you its been in the shop and being worked on (when you can see it sitting in the lot), and charge you 3X what it actually costs to fix it ($2,000 for parts that cost $700 when I called the dealership). I was in Thunder Bay visiting my son who is a student at Lakehead, and I asked H & H if they could replace the windshield washer fluid pump in his 2005 Matrix. The woman at the front desk was very polite and fit me in at 8:00 AM the next morning. The mechanic quickly determined that the washer fluid had froze and that the pump still worked, they thawed it out, drained it, and I was on my way in 45 min!
