Having only been a member for a year and a half, and only visited the gym a handful of times, I've seen Gym Love grow into a very nice workout space. I have been avoiding the place for reasons that have all been resolved. Their sauna is solo or shared w/ friends, and you can book a time slot in their app. Their bottle filling station is very nice to use. My experience here should concern any parent. My 7-year-old was placed into a 9–14-year-old class with older, more experienced kids. During free sparring, he was being physically overpowered, and in that moment there was no meaningful instructor correction or intervention. I understand this is a contact sport. My experience here should concern any parent considering this gym. My son is 7 years old and new. He was placed into a higher-level class where he was repeatedly put in situations where he was physically overwhelmed by other students. This continued for a sustained period without effective instructor control or intervention. This is a contact sport, and I understand that.
