Do not go here. It's cheap, and the young people who work there seem cool, so you join. The equipment is old, they change and cancel classes all of the time, there’s no track, pool, hot tub, or sauna…and they charge for gym towels. Because of their crappy equipment, I made the grave mistake of purchasing personal training sessions. The manager Lacey can't make it to work on a regular basis and is super booked (with classes and other trainees) so it's very difficult to get a routine going. I've been working out at this establishment for a little over a year now and I can't get enough of this place! Customer service is great and the location is perfect for me! They have everything I need to stay in shape starting from Cardio to Free weights to the Personal Training programs they provide! Thanks Gym Downtown! Chris Lacy
This 2 story fitness center is the ultimate mix of history, incredible equipment and first class service. I love working out near my office and avoiding rush hour traffic. Finally, the unique classes and one of a kind programs sets the tone for great health and fitness.

The Gym Downtown is a well-run independent, boutique gym in downtown Norfolk. I highly recommend it.
The Gym Downtown is a wonderful facility. It has a great variety of equipment and offers a bunch of classes that can be enjoyed by people of all fitness levels. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great place to work out.
