These people that work on the 4th floor are super kind and caring. I was really impressed.
Just got done being told by the office of patient advocates that with all of my white privilege I should be able to get healthcare from somewhere other than the VA. I wasn't even there for me. I was there as an advocate with another veteran. "Dis up hur ain't even fuh y'all no mo". Direct quote from the recording my boy made while we were in the VA. When I asked what she meant, her response was "y'all white ain't ya"?
I respect what this building stands for. I question some of the information I receive from here. As a homeless veteran since 2022 and then again in 2024 to currently, getting assistance after calling the national hotline has been strained. When talking with Ms. Victoria during both instances and again as recently as Friday, I question practices to serve the homeless there. In September of 2023 I was referred to Hudvash and SSVF (Hattiesburg) for assistance through the VA medical center. I was told I could use either or. I ch... read more
