The guys that work here are awesome. There's a decent selection of lumber but only one option for hardwood plywood, Birch. It has the thinnest veneer you can imagine and is not dense at all. Meaning it is weak for bookshelves etc. If you need wood for ourdoor projects this is your spot, anything for custom built-ins or cabinets I recommend going elsewhere.
How can these reviews be SOOOO different?? Doesn't seem realistic that product quality and costumer service is either (1) fantastic or (2) horrendous. I am planning a project and will go give them a try myself. Number of STARS TBD. I put in three for now just to post.
Matt, at Guy C Lee, was so helpful in helping us find exactly what we needed to update our kitchen. We were looking for cabinet trim. Something that is limited at Home Depot and Lowe's. We found exactly what we needed and Matt helped us with some details, colors, etc. it's my new go to for projects!
Ordered a kiln dried treated 2x8 x 16ft board, delivered. Told them I needed the kiln dried board because it was to be used as an exterior cap on a balcony, and I needed to paint it the same day as installation. Paid over $50. Here’s what they delivered. By the time I detected how unacceptably ragged the board was, it was too late to complain and request a replacement. They close at 2pm on Fridays and don’t reopen until Monday. Buyer beware
