I am writing this as an aunt who witnessed the aftermath of a child being subjected to completely unacceptable care at Guthrie Pediatrics Big Flats. My 3-year-old niece was brought in for an acute medical concern involving sudden facial and neck swelling. What should have been a careful, thoughtful pediatric evaluation instead became a traumatic experience for both child and parent.
