I can’t say enough about this physician. He is top notch in the industry of neuroscience. Highly knowledgeable and a great bed side manner. If you want a physician that listens to you and spends the time with you then he and his PA Jake would be your team! AMAZING is all I can truly say! This comes from a person who has had complex back issues. Lifesaver all the way!
Simply amazing, neurosurgeon of exceptional expertise who finds the time that others simply don’t have. 93 years old patient was by Dr, Chagoya’s skill brought from being practically paralyzed for nine months with excruciating pain to self sufficient, fully functioning lady who drives, cooks, showers, shops and tends to her gardens (she has two) on her own - pain was gone right after the surgery and revitalizing muscles from atrophy took just a couple weeks.

I was recommended to Dr. Chagoya by a friend. He diagnosed me with benign peripheral nerve sheath tumor schwannoma. Both visits he spent one hour going through benefits and risks. He recommends L1-L2 laminectomy. I feel confident that Dr. Chagoya and his team will result in a positive outcome and that I'll be feeling alot better. I visited Dr. Chagoya with what appeared to be a Lumbar area impingement after receiving a steroid shot that appeared to have affected the nerve down my right leg. I lost strength and balance. Dr. Chagoya gave me the most thorough exam of the three surgeons we visited then took the time to listen to my concerns as well as to really discuss my options.
