About Us: Guse Christmas Trees is a family owned and operated business. In 1965 Howard Guse, founder, planted 2 acres of Scotch pine one by one with a shovel. The family business then sold their first tree in 1976. During the first few years the business was operated out of a 2 car garage, and since then it has grown to occupy a 48'x68' building which is quickly becoming to small. Such a great time with family! It's our family tradition and as long as Guses is open, we will be back every year.
My family has always gotten real trees from Home Depot. We decided this year to try to cut our down. After visiting 2 places on the way we ended up at guse and I have to say we will be back. What an awesome experience we had. Love the hot cocoa so much we bought some to drink at home.
We went there this year for the first time with some friends and had a blast... It was nice to search for a tree with our family, drink some free hot chocolate and ride the horse drawn wagons for free also. (They take tips) The young man that led the horses was really nice and explained anything and everything we asked.
