You just can’t go to Gunther’s and not have a great time. Everybody in line talks to everybody else in line. Smiles and camaraderie abound. You can change your mind about what you want a hundred times between the door and the cash register, secure in the knowledge that whatever you get will be great. This place is a Sacramento icon for a reason. It is the height of summer. Get yourself over there. Yum!
First time as I was visiting family, fun atmosphere and my Taro Ice cream was out of this world!!! Hope to make it back soon.

Don't worry they have got this service down to a science! The line goes faster than you can blink! This is thee best place to go for incredibly yummy treats! So much to choose from I will have to go back many, many times!

Absolutely love this place! Have been going here for years and is our go-to when those miserable hot days come around — our fave is the Gunther’s Freeze 50-50. I made a point to run out there early-on before the lines curved out the door and around the sidewalk. Made it just in time before the rush! Got 3-handpacked 1/2 gallon 50-50’s and a pint of pistachio nut (yummy!) Gunther’s never disappoints. The staff are friendly, and dig the vintage vibe. ����
